An Introduction to
Good Health and increased Vigor
If you know of me, especially those who are familiar with me over the five decades that I have been in Isshin-ryu, will know something of my background. However, you may not know some of my personal details, of which I am most proud. I am proud of my family, my longtime devotion to my Sensei, my loyalty to my friends and, most especially the fact that I will not lie to you for gain, of any type. I spent 29 years as a Sales and Marketing executive in Wall Street and can say, without reservation, that I never deluded or lied to a client, for monetary gain. Over the years, they grew to trust me and that was enough for success in my profession.
In September of 2002, I underwent a dangerous thirteen hour operation to remove a portion of my esophagus, due to primary cells that were morphing toward cancer in a rapid progression. Unfortunately, there was a leak and they had to reopen the surgical closure the following morning. I went into a coma due to Septic poisoning, contracted double pneumonia and my life signs went south. My weight went from 170 pounds of muscle, to 126 pounds of bone and skin. When I awoke in early November of 2002, I was unable to sit up on my own or reach out to the handles of the bed to pull myself into an upright position. I was unable to speak due to a tracheotomy to place me on a ventilator. Image me not able to speak, talk about frustration. I found out later that my family was called to the ICU on two occasions to say goodbye to me. I have a scar from my breastbone to my navel and a second scar from the front of my right ribs to my back, where they displaced my ribs, in order to be able to put their hands into my body from two directions. I also have three round scars, like large bullet holes, from three tubes that were placed into my body to remove fluid. I left the hospital, instead of the ten days I expected, but three months and two days after I walked in. To get out I had to rehab, so that I could walk enough to use a walker. While practicing at home, up and back the corridor from the living room to the bedroom. It seemed to be miles long to me. I couldn’t open buttons or dress myself. I could not pull a tee shirt over my head. The doctor referred to me as his “miracle man,” and I made a comeback due to the exceptional shape I was in prior to the operation and the Doctor’s use of an experimental drug, which cost $2,000.00 a shot every second day.
Eventually, I regained most of my motor skills and actually went back to teaching unarmed combat through Isshin-ryu to my beloved Marines, who were patient, while I pulled my karate back to some form. It was at that time that I was told that the Septic poisoning and the new positioning of my stomach into my chest, that I now have a 38% breathing capacity. It was at this point that an old friend, Major Bill Hayes, USMC (Ret.) came to my aid, as friends do. He told me to start taking LifePak natural vitamins to regain my stamina, which had disappeared, totally. I began the Pharmanex regimen and coincidently, Master Larry Isaac of North Carolina started taking them, as well. Months after he started with LifePak, Larry had a stroke, which appeared to be somewhat severe, but within weeks, he was out of the hospital and shortly after, back on the deck and hosting his tournament, as though nothing ever happened to him.
Two weeks ago, after one month on LifePak, I did a seminar on my Principles of Fighting, at Tom Kately’s Quest dojo in New Jersey’s Northwest area. I was on the deck for five hours, showing Ippons to be used and the use of nerve centers to break from any hold. I then spent an hour signing autographed pictures. Then I drove home to Eastern Long Island, 150 miles. I arrived home hungry and my wife served dinner. The following day, I spent an hour doing an overall workout, on my complex weight machine. I had no pain or let down of energy. That would have been difficult for a thirty year old person, no less someone of my age. I was all over the deck correcting the students and showing them better approaches to each maneuver. I like to show students how to stop an assailant and drop him and then show what the assailant could have done to stop the defense. Both Larry Isaac and myself give the credit to Pharmanex’ LifePak. You might be surprised to know that Pharmanex is the exclusive supplier of dietary nutritional supplements to the Olympic Training Center.
This is an unusual organization and I would like to tell you about it, since Bill Hayes has brought both of us into the company, as distributors. I would not have taken that step if I had any doubt about the manner in which the corporation prepared its products. Let me explain that side of the company to you. I can truly say that it will make your life far better. Bill Hayes, Larry Isaac and myself have become distributors of the Pharmanex product line and I invite you to join us in a business, which is growing exponentially, where you can look forward to a secure future, while helping people to live better. If you would like to discuss this opportunity with me, please contact me at my e-mail address, emcgr2@msn.com and please place your telephone contact number on the e-mail. If you want to get more information on the company, for instance the number and type of scientists employed by Pharmanex and the real differences between this company and any other firm selling supplements, go to www.pharmanexusa.com .

The 6S Quality Guarantee
6S Pharmanex® uses proprietary technology in its manufacturing process to maintain tight quality controls through all stages of product development. The key to consistent quality is the Pharmanex 6S Quality Process, the basis of the company's pharmaceutical approach to product development. By applying this process, Pharmanex has consistently met or exceeded the Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) standards set by the FDA for this product category. The Quality Process has enabled Pharmanex to become an industry leader in quality and efficacy.
Selection
To locate the botanicals with the most effective health-promoting properties,
Pharmanex employs teams of experts from the United States and Asia. These teams
conduct exhaustive research-compiling, reviewing, and summarizing historical use
and current intelligence about a botanical's properties and health benefits.
Pharmanex also conducts original research to identify new botanicals,
coordinating with noted professionals at Purdue University, Kansas University,
Columbia University, Scripps Research Institute, and Beijing University, among
others. Only botanicals that pass extensive Pharmanex tests for authenticity,
usefulness, and safety are considered.
Sourcing
Once Pharmanex decides to proceed with a particular botanical, a team investigates potential sources of the botanical and conducts exhaustive analyses on samples from each source.
Sources may be domestic or international and may include Pharmanex cultivation areas in China and Chile. Pharmanex chooses a supplier based on the quality and concentration level of the active ingredient(s) present in samples from that source.
Structure
Using state-of-the-art analytical techniques and working in collaboration with
respected universities and laboratories in both China and the United States,
Pharmanex conducts structural analyses of the natural compounds present in the
selected botanical. These analyses isolate and purify specific chemical
structures in standardized extracts, a critical step in ensuring a safe and
effective botanical.
Standardization
Wide variations in active ingredients are characteristic of any botanical. For
example, when Pharmanex analyzes potential Ginkgo biloba leaves, studies reveal
the concentrations of active components will vary by as much as 300% depending
on season, climate, soil, method of harvest, storage conditions, and processing.
Pharmanex optimizes the active ingredients of a product through strict,
proprietary standardization processes (to at least one relevant marker
molecule). Each capsule of a Pharmanex product contains the same amount of each
active ingredient.
Safety
Pharmanex is leading the way in establishing strict standards to ensure the safety of its products. Scientists research and document the history of a product's use and safety. Pharmaceutical-grade tests for the presence of microbes, toxins, and heavy metals are carried out for all products. The active ingredient amount used is based on dosages found effective through clinical trials and is backed by published data on file at Pharmanex. Each product label details directions for use and contains appropriate warning information.
Substantiation
Pharmanex only makes product claims that have been substantiated through documented preclinical and clinical studies. Existing clinical data are reviewed, and when necessary, Pharmanex sponsors studies of its products. Data from some of these studies are subsequently submitted to major international journals for review. This adherence to scientific standards for substantiation helps make Pharmanex a leader in the natural healthcare product industry.
