On Illegal Immigration
Simply picture this scenario. Someone shows up at an Elks meeting and begins to stand up and loudly disparages every comment that the Elk’s Council members. He is asked to prove that he is an official Elk, since no one seems to know this interloper. Finally, one of the members calls into a central committee that has a book on enrolled members. No such name is on the roll. They ask this person to leave the building. With that, the troublemaker berates the members and states that they must make him a member immediately, whether anyone knows him or not and certainly no Elk has nominated him for membership. What do you think they would do with this man? Would the Sergeant-At-Arms show him the door and tell him never to come back. Certainly, and they would be best served by repelling this scam artist.
The United States is presently in a turmoil over an issue that both political parties find perplexing as the historical Gordian Knot, which was tied in such a manner that no one was able to untie the knot, until Alexander “The Great” showed up. When asked if he would try to loose the knot he immediately drew his sword and slashed the knot in two, unraveling the problem, immediately. The solution to the Illegal Immigration flooding into our nation through a porous border to Mexico is right there before them. With a budget in the Trillions, how can we deny that we can close the border by tripling the number of immigration Officers and the utilization of the technical ability already being used by our Armed Forces to wrap the border in a cloak of constant surveillance? Heaven knows that there is enough worthless pork in the budget that could be cut to secure our safety.
In the newspapers last week, an illegal immigrant forced himself into a young mother’s home, while he was under the influence of alcohol and drugs, raped the innocent woman, who tried to fight him off for about thirty minutes. Think about the terror she was enduring before he finally killed her. He woke from his stupor, lying with his one leg lying over her leg, in a pool of blood and he was covered in blood. He stated that he doesn’t know what happened. There are thousands of similar stories of illegal immigrants causing crimes, death and rapes and a large enough percentage of these border crossers in our prisons, to understand that we are not secure
The moment that 9/11 transpired, security at both our borders should have been bolstered, to extent that they are air-tight. Instead, our politicians fight over what to do. Are they thinking of the people they represent, or of keeping us from another catastrophe? We now have a Homeland Security bureaucracy, which seems unable to get the searches at airports squared away. The search of 80-year-old Grandmothers will not unearth one bomb or box cutter. We should be pulling aside Arabic males, from 18 years to 45 years of age. Hiring at airports should be made difficult, with extraordinary background checks and a quiz to determine alertness and awareness, with the ability to ascertain threats. None of this takes place. We still have not installed equipment to electronically determine whether or not all luggage does or does not contain a bomb. We also higher people for baggage handlers who are within the Terrorist profile.
Yes, America was populated by immigrants from all over Europe and Asia, that developed our populace. But, beyond the establishment of Jamestown and the arrival of the Pilgrims, we later formed our own nation. At once we became a land of laws, illegal immigrants were, oh well, illegal. Legal immigrants continued to pour into our nation, but these immigrants were filtered upon arrival, turning away former criminals, those who were ill with contagious ailments. We built an infrastructure that picked and chose those who would be allowed into America and those who did not pass muster and were turned away. How hard is that to figure out. The Congress also set quotas for how many immigrants were allowed to enter the country from specific countries and they monitored and changed the quotas annually.
Now, we are faced with an illegal population of at least twelve million illegal immigrants from Mexico and other Hispanic nations. Naturally, everyone around the world wants to come to America, because we are the greatest country in the world, with freedom far beyond any other republic. However, our immigration laws are being flaunted or ignored, as though they did not exist. The problem is worsened by the fact that both major parties are afraid of losing the Spanish vote in coming elections. The Congressmen put their job and power ahead of our laws and the safety of our nation. The fact is that the Spanish people in this country who arrived and went through all of the proper restrictions, applications, green card requirements to become legal immigrants and eventually citizens. They have assimilated well enough to have many upper class, well educated politicians who are moving up within their party affiliations, who command notice and power. I believe that these Americans of Hispanic background have embraced the culture of America. On the other hand, I lose my temper every time I see a car pass me proudly showing in their rear window an Ecuadorian, Bolivian, Puerto Rican or Venezuelan flag, but without an American flag displayed on the other side of this window. That tells me that their heart and mind is still with the land of their birth and they could care less about America where they are working in decent jobs, bringing up their children, driving nice autos. If they love their birth nation so much, let them get on the first boat for their fatherland and good riddance
But, let’s direct our attention on illegal immigrants, who come over the border, according to Congress and the left wing media, because our citizens don’t want to do the hard jobs that these illegals are paid for. I am sure that there are poor people living in our nation who are without the education, or background to find a job, that would be more than happy to do these jobs. One of the problems is the employers that hire illegal immigrants, because they don’t have to pay even minimum wage to illegals and by doing that their profit margin is expanded. That is illegal and they should be arrested, not benefited by a larger net profit, while the presence of illegal immigrants cost the average tax payer a fortune to sustain these illegals and their families. Some women come over the border near our Border Stations, when they are about to give birth. Once on our soil they give birth and since that child is now an American citizen, the mother is also allowed to stay here. Now our Social system kicks in to pay all of the medical needs, they are given welfare on the dole to get an apartment. Once in the apartment they are given food stamps to feed their family. Welfare will even make sure they have a television and other appliances they require. Their children are sent into our educational system, where to accommodate them, we have to use a curriculum that has to teach both Spanish and English, as well. But the mother may never learn to speak English and therefore, never assimilate or take part in the character of American tradition. Churches also help them and if they are illegal the Church is now part and parcel of this illegal structure.
The Democrats believe that the illegal immigrants should be given amnesty and receive citizenship. This would be akin to spitting in the face of immigrants who have become citizens by going through all of the laws and regulations and waiting for years to become citizens. That is certainly damned wrong, unlawful and flies in the face of our Constitution
The Republicans want to round up illegal immigrants and give them Work Permits whereby, they can come and go, as they please and if they stay within these regulations they can eventually become citizens.
Meanwhile, rather than hiding, the brassy illegal immigrants here against our laws, have the gall to take to the streets by the tens of thousands to “DEMAND” that they be allowed to legally stay here. They are criminals, despite the euphemisms that the media uses to obfuscate their situation, such as, undocumented aliens. The fact is that they are illegals immigrants who are here against our laws, making both the employers and the illegals criminals. Yet Congress chews their nails and hope they can find a solution to keep them here. Democrats want them to be citizens, because Hispanics historically vote Democratic, but then realize that Democrats, specifically Hillary Clinton wants criminals in or out of prison to have the right to vote. By the way, when they first took to the streets by the millions in various major cities, guess what flag they were waving, you bet, it was the Mexican flag of their pride. When Americans showed ire over that they started to wave American flags. As illegal immigrants, they are seen as poor people, so who paid for the movement of these people to certain areas, since that would require logistical aid in communications, transport, feed and produce the professional placards they carry, would the money possibly come from the ACLU and George Soros or Hollywood stars such as, George Clooney (who turns out movies that put down our government, with little or no evidence) of Barbra Streisand who has never seen a shot at our government that she didn’t like.
My thought is that when they are going to take to the streets to force our nation to give them citizenship against our laws, which they flaunt, I would coordinate Army Reserves to surround them and place them on buses headed for Mexico. Given enough rallies, we can get most of them out of our country. Then shut down our borders and the Hell with Vicente Fox who has Billions from their abundance of Mexican oil, which is going into administration pockets and Vince’s pocket, as well. No one in Mexico should lack for a job. By the way, if some ACLU and Soros’ people are put on those buses, tough luck folks.
