Murder Overlooked
Politically
Within two days, Thursday, November 1, 2007, Mary Jo Kopechne and I am sure that she is still looking for some type of justice, for her murder. In Massachusetts the populace of the State go to the election sites and vote solidly behind Ted Kennedy. For some twisted reasoning they vote him into the Senate, to legislate for all of America. He has become a powerful politician over the years, while Mary Jo Kopechne lies in her grave, rather than being a healthy, happy sixty-seven year old woman, going about her life.
As a Kennedy, with all of the power and wealth that Teddies dad, Joe Kennedy had garnered as an illegal rumrunner, during a period when alcohol was forbidden by the government. When the depression clamped the New York Stock Exchange and Banks were closing, unable to give their money out of their accounts. It was a long, sustained depression, with former workers standing on the streets trying to sell apples. It was that period that the stained wealth of the Kennedy became millions of dollars, by buying real estate, homes that the occupants could not pay the mortgage. They lost their home and lived in the street for years, while Joe Kennedy bought up these empty houses and small companies that had gone bankrupt, all picked up for a pittance. When the depression ended the Kennedy family was one of the most wealthy families on the globe. His direct heir, Joe Kennedy Jr. was in Joe Kennedy’s mind and soul the son who would continue to build the family into a conglomerate with high stakes in the best firms on the NYSE. Unfortunately, Joseph Jr. was killed as a pilot on a semi-suicide mission during World War II, throwing his fathers plans for a Presidency for Joseph Jr. in the basket. Joe Kennedy then turned to Jack Kennedy, despite the fact that he was a philanderer and had no plan to become President. However, during WW II, Jack became an officer on PT109, a fairly small attack boat that had depth charges and torpedoes, as well as 50 caliber machine guns. It was a potent weapon, but unfortunately was made of plywood and could take little damage. Jack’s boat was blown apart attacking a Japanese Destroyer, bristling with fairly large guns. In the water and with a bad back, Jack Kennedy showed his courage, by strapping his belt around one of his men and with the end of the belt in his teeth he swam, pulling one of his enlisted man behind him and saved his crew on a Pacific island.
It was apparent that both of these men Joseph and Jack Kennedy were courageous men in their core. Later, as President, Jack again showed his spunk when he faced off with Gorbachev, the Russian Premier, when Russia was facing off with the United States during the “Cold War.” There appeared that a thread of courage within these men of the Kennedy’s family, but missed one. Ted Kennedy did not have that courageous strain.
Teddy had his people in place for his bid for the Presidency in 1980. At a private party with young political women was held and Teddy had his eyes on Mary Jo and finally was driving her from the party, but it would seem he was a drunkard, at that time. In fact, with his meandering eyes, his wife began to drink, as well, and she wound up in rehab.
When Teddy, on that party night, tried to cross a bridge, but drunk, as usual, he crashed into the side of the bridge and the car careened into the side of the Edgartown Massachusetts Bridge, with the young campaign worker, Mary Jo Kopechne and wound up in the river. Kennedy either got his window down or got his door open and exited the car swimming to the shore. Later evidence that Mary Jo went into the back seat where near the rear window had a space full of air. Had Kennedy dove down once he caught his breath he could have saved Mary Jo, but he didn’t do that because, despite the courage of his brothers, Teddy was frightened for his own life and left that young women to run out of air and become unconscious, finally succumbing and drowned. While she drowned, Teddy got to a phone and called his compatriots, who also don’t seem to have any morals. They got Teddy back to a safe place, to plan a story to tell the press. No one cared about Mary Jo, only thinking of the election of 1980. They did not even call the Sheriff. During that time, it later showed that she died over a period of two and one-half hours before she drowned.
Teddy is a despicable person, who put Mary Jo out of his mind and now is the Senior Senator who prances in to pass legislation pulling our nation toward Socialism, with help from Hillary Clinton. Meanwhile, the “Liberal Lion” accuses President Bush of “telling lie after lie.” This is ludicrous from a man who was thrown out of Harvard for paying a fellow student to take his Spanish final. Also, he was denied a commission from the Army because he cheated on his exams. Teddy has been a fraud for his entire political career, following in his path as a student and the murder, that’s right murder of Mary Jo Kopechne.
