Judge, Jury and God
In November 2005, a group of what may be simply innocent civilians was cut down by gunfire in their home. The story coming out is that a passing caravan of Marine trucks had one truck run over an IED, which exploded and killed a Marine. Supposedly, the irate Marines flew into a rage stormed into the nearest home and shot down everyone in the house, men, women and children. Pictures appeared in the papers showing the bodies and the bullet-ridden walls.
Immediately Sen. John Murtha called in the press, telling them that these Marines were guilty of mass murder of innocents in cold blood, a heinous act and they must be punished in the harshest manner. He also said that it is the result of the stress of war, after three tours in Iraq. That also makes Murtha a psychiatrist, as well as, judge, jury and God. He has seen into their souls. There are tens of thousands of Marines situated around the world, young boys and young girls, suddenly made adults in Marine Corps Boot Camps. The Esprit de Corps that these elite people who respect the Globe and Anchor on their collar and are well versed in the rules of engagement. This is not to say that within a Corps of this many people, there are no disreputable or even evil people. Many large Corporations have just introduced us to the evil people, with strong educational backgrounds and at the highest positions of trust, which it seems, are evil and corrupt. It can happen anywhere. But these corporate thugs were seen to be corrupt and that instigated an investigation that called finally on the FBI. The investigation after thorough tactics and with a complete knowledge of the type of corruption they were finally caught in the net and brought to court after going to a Grand Jury and asking for subpoenas they were able to get into the various companies files and discuss the manner in which the employees went about their work. They proved corruption, in great detail, within the court case, found guilty by a jury of their peers and found guilty and given appropriate prison time and high cash fines.
The military Has the UCMJ, or Universal Corps of Military Justice. During my five years as a Marine Corps Officer I was often called upon for duty at a Courts-Martial, either for the Defense or the Prosecution. It is a monumental duty, since you have people’s lives in your hands and if it is found that you were negligent in this duty, you might find yourself being Court Martialed. The military’s UCMJ covers every instance of dereliction of duty and has a complete battery of punishments for every case. And yes, I did hear one of the judges on a court martial state that stupid joke, “Bring in the Guilty Bastard and we will give him a fair trial before we find him guilty and send him to the brig.” That individual happened to be a Mustang Captain (a former enlisted Marine, promoted during combat to Captain) often they are returned to the original enlisted rank. As soon as the Court was sworn in and the Courts-Martial was indeed in session I raised my hand and stood before the head of the Court and asked for a preemptive challenge of one of the judges and I challenged the Captain. He was dismissed immediately. He had some rude threats for me before leaving. I was only a First Lieutenant at that time. My defendant was found guilty. He got a good and unbiased trial.
But in this instance, John Murtha has his Democratic hat on for the next election and thrown his former Globes and Anchor into a pig sty. He leaped into the fray immediately stating that the Marines were guilty of murder in Cold-Blood! He has often stood up before the Press and the Drive BY media, whom they know are Liberals and against the Iraq War. He has often called for the pull out of our troops from Iraq. Can you imagine a Political Party that would Aid and Abet the enemy, terrorists who killed three thousand people in the Twin Towers on 9/11, by stating that they would pull the troops out as Iraq’s government has just finalized all of the governments positions, even under the threat of murder. The Iraqis want a Democracy and freedom for the first time in over three decades. Now we have just killed the head of Al-Qaeda Abu al-Zarqawi, who, as a young man was considered to be an idiot, by his neighbors, was good at one thing, murdering innocent Iraqis by the dozen, with car bombs, fools who strap bombs on themselves and blow themselves up in a crowd of their own people. This is leadership in the twisted minds of Radical Islamists who actually believe that is a holy thing to kill innocents. Zarqawi himself cut people’s heads off, while the offended, with hands tied behind his or her back, knelt before this pathological murderer. Two 500 pound bombs ended his disgusting life and despite what he believed, I’m sure he is in Hell at this moment.
A new leader is already stepping into Zarqawi’s bloody shoes and so, the bombing of innocent men, women and children will be blown to pieces, destroying families lives forever, because a fanatical group who twisted the Koran into a plan for murder. Americans must wake the Hell up. Pick up a paper other than the New York Times, which must be a subsidiary of the Fallujah Times and you will realize that we are at war against a fascistic religious group of psychologically challenged zealots, who want you to become an Islamic follower or they will kill you. If that is religion, I prefer the love and peace of my God. They are calling the manner in which Europe will move in the future. They are taking over those who are afraid to fight back. President Bush could have turned America into an isolationist nation, until these murderous fiends had every inch of the world and had Sharia or the theological teachings of a twisted Koran. It would then be a matter of war on our land, overwhelming us by their mass. Instead he decided to use Saddam Hussein, the most vicious tyrant in the Middle East, who everyone acknowledged that he had WMDs and would use them to destroy Israel and the nations around him, just as he had moved an army into Kuwait, with his eyes on Saudi Arabia. We brought the war to them, on their turf and our wonderful Armed Forces are beating them by a ten to one ratio. Afghanistan is now a Democracy and Iraq is now a democracy. Libya gave up its WMDs, on their own. This is working, but if the Liberals in Congress who have no plan, no direction, unless it might be to get their power back. If that happens, they will pull our troops out and the Middle East will go back to the Stone Age. Talking endlessly and amelioration of the enemy will eventually inundate us with problems stemming from the terrorist attacks on our shores. Liberals don’t have in mind any thought of Home Land Security. Their first move would be to strip the Military, upping our vulnerability. Osama Bin Laden blew up the Trade Towers because he saw that Clinton was a coward. Bin-Laden was not aware that Somalia was a Clinton disgrace, not the fault of our troops who had been victorious, nor the people at home. We are kicking their butts now because there is a man as President with ethics and morals.
Finally, wait for the investigation of the massacre blamed on the Marines, the finest of the overall fighting forces in the world. If they are found guilty, the UCMJ is there to mete out punishment. The Marine Corps will clean their own house. They don’t need the help of a John Murtha, who has betrayed his Marine Corps credentials and is a disgrace. Just shut your mouth John!
