“The Traitor”
A few short months ago, a Marine combat team, was in the center of Haditha, the Fallujah of today. As their patrol rolled through in Humvees an IED (which all of the residents of the area knew was there, but said nothing) exploded, killing one of the Marines. See this incident in the eyes of those Marines, you are in a deadly area of Iraq, where the populace hated you, many undoubtedly well armed with RPGs and AK47s. It is unclear if the houses nearest this murderous incident fired upon the Marines, but it certainly behooved the Marines to clear the houses closest to them.
Later details show that several people in the houses were dead. Some of them were women and children, but we must remember that the Iraqi Terrorists have used women and nine and ten year old children have taken up arms, inculcated with terrorist slogans and rhetoric.
As soon as reported, Democratic Rep. John (Jack, if you are tight with him) Murtha, who began his political career in 1968, as a former Marine who had fought in Vietnam and highly decorated, was the first of the Viet Nam veterans to be elected to Congress. With that background, he was one of the very few Democrats who could speak up about this issue, supposedly with the proper credentials. His statement on this occurrence was instant and versatile in its picturing of the incident, He said, in essence that these Marines killed innocent civilians in “cold blood” and then even told us the reason for this faux pas, the Marines were in a state of great strain, since they had been there too long and too often. This was despite the fact that, the Marines in Iraq say they have high morale and the largest percentage request additional tours, to be with their units.
But the real problem, at this moment, is that no investigation had even begun, no less fully and thoroughly and factually examined, when Murtha assumed that the Marines had murdered innocents in “Cold blood.” When challenged, Murtha would ask if the questioner had been in battle in Europe, Viet Nam, or Iraq and since few Congressmen had service in the Armed Forces of America, they actually apologized to Murtha, since he had been a hero Marine in Viet Nam.
With this publicity from the “Drive By” media and his tour of the usual left-wing Television Talk Shows. He immediately announced that he would desire to be The Majority Leader, which caused a shudder through the Democratic Party. Within twenty-four hours he withdrew that requirement, as the facts of Murtha’s background were made public.
Pfc. Cafferata, USMC and recipient of the Congressional Medal Of Honor, our nations highest honor they can award for bravery, under fire against the enemy, came across the research of Marc Morano and Randy Hall, CNSNews.com Staff (1/13.06). He felt that he had to forward Murtha’s real background. No one has ever questioned Murtha’s hero status. Nor has the left-wing media bothered to dig any deeper. They found out that Congressman Don Bailey of Pennsylvania, who was awarded the Silver Star and three Bronze Stars, calls Murtha “a liar and a phony.” Murtha had come to Congressman Bailey crying and sobbing and thanked him for saving Murtha from the ethics committee, on ABSCAM related charges. It was at that time, falling apart in front of Bailey, Murtha blurted out that he did not earn his Purple Hearts. His background resume states that during 37 years in the Corps, he fought in Korea and Vietnam. The actual facts are that Murtha never set foot in Korea and served one year in Viet Nam, during which he was in the rear area, as a staff intelligence Officer. At the very least a combat serviceman has to have faced the enemy, been shot at by the enemy.
What can we say of Rep. Jack Murtha? We can say that he is a politician, who, being a Democrat when the Party are solidly run by far-left Socialists. They despise the war in Iraq, crying crocodile tears for our lost troops, while people like Ted Kennedy, Leahy, Kerry (whose career in the Navy is as phony as Murtha’s service, indicating that he also earned three Purple Hearts, when in fact they were splinters, which his commanders told him to forget) and Hillary Clinton, who still clings to her husband’s triangulation strategy, is for the war, but wants the troops brought home. Perhaps to fulfill her obligation, perhaps we should only bomb Iraq from 50,000 feet.
Murtha has become a Poster Boy for B.S., but the fact is that, the entire Democratic Party doesn’t get it, they have never seen the threat to our nation which reached its vortex on 9/11, they have no ideas on how to defeat the Islamic Terrorists, other than trying for talks and reconciliation. Islam is by definition (The Koran) the only religion allowed in this world. Liberty and freedom of choice are unknown ideas to Muslims. They seem willing to die, or at least their leaders are willing to sacrifice their people. The first attack on the World Trade Towers in 1993 was their first brazen move, but the Khobar Towers, our Embassies overseas, the bombing of the U.S.S. Cole, followed that; all overseen by Bill Clinton, who sent the FBI to find out what happened. It was then that Osama Bin Laden realized that the administration had little guts for a fight or retaliation. Having once said that he abhorred the American Armed Forces and proved it by going to London to dodge Viet Nam. He set the stage for 9/11, but now we had a tough young man in the Presidency and George W. Bush brought the war back to Islam’s land. Afghanistan was freed and became a Democratic Republic and drove Saddam Hussein out of Baghdad, to be found in a hole in the ground. Recently, we bombed a safe house that Al-Zakhari was using, killing him and his cohorts, in the rubble. This murderous scum will hurt no one else. His following successor has just put on a shirt with a bull’s eye on its front and back. Meanwhile, when sifting through the rubble, our troops found documents stating that we (Islamic Radicals) are losing, cannot get any more martyrs for their cause and that the Iraqi war is being won by America. They are smarter than the Democratic Party.
